GARY FITTON
BBS, CPA
Gary has legal, tax and accounting qualifications.
Gary has developed most of the recent employee share plan models operating in both Australia and New Zealand. He has provided consulting advice to many leading companies including Qantas, AXA, Ford, Orica, AIDC, Ord Minett, Westpac, Amcor, Goodman Fielder, Baulderstone Hornibrook, PNG Banking Corporation, Vodafone, Ericsson, Suncorp-Metway and Boom Logistics Limited.
Gary has been involved with the design, implementation, and administration of all forms of employee equity participation plans since 1986. He is a founding director of Remuneration Strategies Group Pty Ltd and Trinity Management Group Pty Ltd.
Gary has authored a number of books on employee share plan and flexible remuneration packaging. He currently contributes to Thomson’s The Australian Tax Practice and is an author of Thomson’s Australian Financial Planning Handbook and Australian FBT Handbook. Gary has been working with the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), the Australian Employee Ownership Association, the ASA and IFSA to produce “Guidelines for Executive and Employee Incentive and Share Ownership Plans”. He has also worked with the AICD to produce a booklet on the “Buying and Selling Share by Directors”.
